Hot water tank?

Had a new hot water tank fitted with a new heating element. However, I only get hot water if I press the boost button simply just leaving it on only results in warm water. Is this correct or has something gone wrong here? Thanks

there is an heat adjustment on the element u can adjust the tank temperature. that is probably set on low temperature.
