Gas boiler filling up by itself to 2 bar

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.13 PM

Worcester CD30 combi boiler repressurises itself to 2 bar if it goes down to 1.75. Filling loop seems tightly closed although I can't pull key back out. Boiler works fine heating rads and water and does not go near 3 bar as yet. Does it require looking at or is it okay to leave at 2 bar?

It sound by all accounts that the filling loop to the heating system is bypassing water slowly from the main water feed to the heating system. I would suggest check that the two valves are closed properly if this is the case the valves would need replacing. Bearing in mind that if the filling loop is permanently connected you will need a double check valve installed to prevent possible contamination of the potable water supply
