Planting Laurels this time of year

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.13 PM

Just a quick question, would it be ok to plant some medium size laurels this time of year? or would the approaching cold kill them off before they can properly root and grow? Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, if you are planting rootball or bare root laurels,or if you are digging up and moving your laurels then this is the best time of year to plant them as they are not flowering and do not need regular watering. I hope this helps.

Absolutely. Its the perfect time of year. Give them a good soaking and mulch the top with some bark or organic matter for the winter and you should see strong growth in the spring. Good luck!
