Filling the gaps on a wooden floor
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.32 PM
Hello, We are looking to have our timber wooden floor sanded and varnished. The question is, whether we should fill the gaps (there are quite a few). Under the floor is a basement. If we fill the gaps, will the floor be ventilated? We think there is an issue with the lack of ventilation in the flat (ground floor Edwardian). Is it best to have someone come and take a look, or to just go ahead and do the floors without filling the gaps? Thanks

HI,
It would be best to have a professional look at it, and then get floor sanded.
Alternativley if you have any questions or photos of your property I will be able to assist you further.
I hope this helps
