What is the size of the cable cores & amount of cores? Surprised you have to ask this question as if you are making the armoured off, you would surely know what size glands you would want. We don't go by the diameter of the whole cable to gauge what size gland. We go by what I asked you first. If you know the answer you can go to an electrical wholesalers and they will sort you out. By the way there are glands for inside and outside.

Connecting an armoured cable is one of those things where you may only get one chance to get it right - particularly if not much spare cable at each end of the circuit termination points. There is a knack to stripping the ends before you fit the gland kit. As already said in previous answer you can get glands for indoor or outdoor use. Your cable could be a 3 core 4mm - check gland sizes on chart below. http://www.swaonline.co.uk/cable-glands-and-accessories/cable-gland-sizing-charts
