Water tank in bedroom

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.12 PM

my new house has a water tank in my second bedroom. As this bedroom Will be my daughters I would like to remove the tank I have tried reading up on it and understand there are many things to factor in if I move it to the loft or am I wrong in thinking if I install a combi boiler I can remove the tank all together ? Also how long will a job like this take ?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

By the sounds of things you are talking about a water cylinder. It’s much better to get a combi boiler because you can remove the hot water cylinder which also in the long run will save you money because the water cylinder takes a lot of electric to heat the water up, plus a combi boiler allows instant hot water at anytime. Hope this information is useful. All the best

As B.A building limited pointed out above, fitting a combi boiler would completely remove the hot water cylinder and the cold water storage tank in the loft. A job like this would take between 2-3 days which would involve removing the cylinder and tanks in the loft, fitting the new boiler and adjustment to any pipework.
