Stair runner ordering

How do I order carpet if I want a stair carpet runner and the same carpet on the landing? How will the stair runner be prevented from fraying? Thanks

Measure the width you’d like the stair carpet to be. Any decent supplier should be able to cut it to size and get it whipped around the edges for you.

You would need to either get the edges bound or turn the edges under so there is no raw edge
