Lean to off the back of my property

Hi I own my own 3 bed house do I need to get permission to have a lean to built on the back of my house

As long as you don't live in a conservation area you can build one up to 3 meters projection (4 meters if detached) under permitted development rights please see the planning portal website for further advice

It also depends on the age of the property.
Some builders have a 10 year no buoding policy without there permission.
This is because of there 10 year insurance
