L shaped bath support legs

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.53 PM

I bought an l shaped bath (1700 long 700 wide narrow end and 850 wide shower end). It didn’t come with any legs or support brackets. I’ve sourced some universal metal batons and adjustable feet from a bathroom showroom who confidently advised that these were fine to use with an l shaped acrylic bath. They screw in to the reinforced baseboard on the bottom of the bath. I’m worried they won’t support the bath correctly but can’t find any information on what kind of legs an l shaped bath should have. Can anyone advise.?

Baths always sit on adjustable legs, aslong as the weight is evenly spread on the legs you should be fine. Make sure to screw to board under the bath.

Fix the legs so weight distribution is correct. Also fit angle brackets on where bath is against wall. You should be able to fix these onto top lip underneath the lip there is normally a timber baton that runs the length of the bath. Fix angle brackets on there so when bath is in position you'll be able to drill angle brackets above bath and fix to wall as well. Then once tiled over gives bath extra stability.
