Internal wall breeze block

My bathroom has two breeze block brick walls built internally. There is no supporting wall below them. They seem to be sitting on a wood plinth across the joust. Is this normal. Is it secure. The house was built in the 80s.

yes it the way they use to be built are they a dark gray dens breezblock
