No Power to immersion heater
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.12 PM
Hi My immersion heater is not working. I've swapped the immersion and the thermostat for a new one. Still not working. I've swapped out the timer, still not working. The timer lights up and charges the internal back up battery. Could it be the cable from the timer to the immersion heater? Thank you. Hi ERMA Electrical Thanks for your reply. I don't know what half that means. I have economy 7 but that comes on at night (00:00) and is only for the storage heaters. The water can heat up any time i want it to.

Well, have you checked the power into it with a tester. How did you come to the conclusion that the immersion and the thermostat were duff. Might be the timer itself.

Hi,
You have to check voltage between CPC and Line conductors and between N and Line before and after timer.
Also chech IR on your immersion heating element.
Another thing power supply could be on economy 7 night tariff.
