Ikea sink waste outlet termination.
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.53 PM
Hi. I asked a question recently about resiting the rising main in my daughters house, and got a great response from “Boiler Homecare”, thank you. Now that problem is solved, I have now sited worktops, and cut out for sink fitting, and put everything in place as a test before making final joints to worktops. The waste kit provided by Ikea, terminates in an outlet pointing 45 deg downwards to go into a soil pipe connection in the floor. I need a horizontal outlet but don’t have enough height / fall to my existing soil pipe connection to put a 135 deg bend off the Ikea outlet to achieve horizontal and still get some fall to the soil pipe. Does anyone know if it is possible to pull out the Ikea 45 deg downward fitting and replace it with a 90 deg elbow, or, could I cut off the Ikea fitting and solvent weld an elbow onto the remaining stem. Any help or other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. Alec.
