Drain round the outside of conservatory
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.53 PM
I have a conservatory and because my garden is on a slope the rain is hitting the back of it so I'm eventually going to get damp inside, some one mentioned that I need an aco drain around it so the water has somewhere to go? I have no clue if that's the right type I need but I really need to get it done before it gets worse, my dpc level isn't the height it's supposed to be. Where do I start?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If you was installing storm drains I would recomend that you install them lower than you dpc level and tap in to the nearest underground waste pipe so the water has somewhere to go

Yes fitting an aco type drain channel around the conservatory should help with this. The drain should be 150mm below dpc and ideally connected to the surface water sewer or an adequate soak away.
