Why is the wall hot in one area near the radiator?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.32 PM
Hi When the central heating is on, our hallway wall (internal, semi detached) about 30cm to the right and above our radiator is hot to the touch. It gets so hot you can't hold your hand on there. What could be the cause and should I be worried? Thanks

Are the pipes on show or can you just see them come out the wall near the bottom of the radiator? If so it is more than likely just the pipework that is run in a wall channel that is making the wall warm up.
It will not cause you any issues and probably nothing to be worried about but if you’re worried about it then you can always get a heating engineer to come have a look to put your mind at ease.
Hope that helps 🙂
