Ideally you would plaster first and fix the skirting etc after.

Hi lisa52
Best way to do this is to remove all skirting, door frames and coving it's kinda hard to remove the old skirting off a newly plastered wall without it cracking. Once you have removed the old joinery work you can plastered the wall with ease an knowing your skirting and frames are going on a nice new flat surface
Hope this helps thanks.

The best thing is you strip out all the walls doors, door architraves, and then plaster, It will make the work go better as if you don't do the plaster first you will have plaster all over the new doors and all over.

Hi
It would be best to remove frames skirting architraves etc and then plaster entire room and let dry . After plaster has dried then the frames and skirting etc can be fitted with no mess .

As all above. Also if youre planning on purchasing new joinery....doors etc. Postpone having them stored in the rooms where the new plaster will be drying. (High relative air humidity)

Hi Lisa. It's always best to remove all skirting boards architraves etc.
Once the room has been plastered you will be able to put new ones on and it will give you a lovely clean finish and much easier to paint .

It is best to have all skirting boards removed before plastering and new ones fitted afterwards.
Also in my opinion it's best to have your door frames fitted before you have the walls plastered so that the plaster can be applied to the same level as the new frame. This allows architraves to sit flush leaving no gaps to be filled.
