Utilities in Cloak rooms

The WC would have to be separate from the kitchen or any room. A stud wall could solve this problem.

There are no regulations regarding sockets near a WC although common sense needs to be used. So no problems with a washing machine. Not sure building regs cover fridges in a toilet as I'm sure not many would fit one, so I guess would be allowed by default but I would not like my food in such a place. But in order to fit a toilet in any room which didn't have one before would require building control. If this is a downstairs WC then the building control would most definitely demand that it was suitable for disabled people in wheel chairs. They would also check that the soil pipe is connected properly to drain waste away. If the new toilet was straight onto a kitchen you would need to have a basin installed also. You NO LONGER need two doors between as long as a basin is installed. Always best to have one fitted in any case. There are regulations regarding sockets near a basin but this is within 600mm from the tap. Install a mono block tap and this would barely be outside the basin itself. Again common sense needs to be used. Also if no openable window is in the room them a fan vented to outside would need to be installed.
