Some types of carpet react differently to water (ammount of shrinkage) Dont release the carpet from the grippers or it make shrink more. A woven carpet (axminster or wilton ) wil shrink the most. Once shrunk it is very difficult to re-stretch. Contact the cleaner and explain the problem as they are probably liable.

it would seem that it shrunk. Did you contact the person who cleaned the carpet?

Have your carpet re-layed ( stretched) by a qualified carpet layer.

It sounds like the carpet needs to be taken up and refit as well as possibly the underlay. Obviously without seeing the carpet i can not say 100%. But if this were the case i would charge £20 to remedy the problem.

Hi. It loooks like your carpet needs a restretch. If you contact a carpetfitter on here he will be able to quote you for this. Thanks Mark Haver
