Garage floor painting
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.12 PM
Hi. I've got a garage floor which is uneven scuffs and dips in the floor. I want to paint it to have a commercial finish. Any ideas on how I could gain this finish?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Maybe put a skim of floor levelling compound on first . https://youtu.be/Pw66L-9IhWc

The best way of getting a good surface finish would be first to thoroughly clean the floor of all dust, debris etc, apply a coat of latex, - 2 part powder/latex, not water based, allow 12 hours to dry, if the floor is very uneven, it may need another coat, then paint with resin floor paint, best one is the paint and hardener type, takes about 24 hours to cure thoroughly, floor paints out of a can are ok, but not as hard wearing as the resin type.

To get the perfect floor finish I would use a self levelling compound and screed the floor first. Once the compound has fully cured I would paint the floor with a 2 PAC industrial floor paint as this paint will be more hard wearing and leave you a perfect finish. Many thanks. Lee.
