Electrical

stand alone plugged in single oven

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.31 PM

I have a small single electric oven which I bought about 25 years ago . I plug it into a wall socket and it has been working well all those year. However, I just discovered that it has small hole on its bottom floor (metal). Is it dangerous to continue use it with the small hole? if yes where I could buy a similar product which I an continue plugging in into my standard socket ( I have a domestic automatic circuit breaker whenever a fuse break as result of overloading

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi After 25 years i would suggest a new cooker and not continue using the appliance with a hole that could be exposed to live contacts. I believe Argos do a similar product that can be used in a 13 amp socket with same day delivery. Thanks Mark

Hi I would suggest to change it to the new cooker but if you like to continue to use I rather contact the electrician to do checking and testing of the unit to make it sure that safe to used. Thanks Ansel
