Can I tank or use water sealant on painted exterior wall? Help needed.
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.31 PM
Ok so I have not long been in my new property and after a large amount of rain the other week I noticed that the basement has water penetrating the wall. I have been advised that I need to tank or use water sealant on the exterior wall which appears to be where the water is coming from. However after much searching it appears this can only be applied directly onto the masonry but the exterior has been painted by the previous occupant. How do I resolve this issue before I have a damp basement?? If you need any more information let me know. Regards.
