How do i over come plaster not sticking properly on a painted surface after i have pva it. If I apply pva neat on surface how long does it take for pva glue to dry so I can plaster

I would recommend using a blue grit pcs on painted surfaces as the grit in the pcs provides a rough surface for the plaster to adhere to better. It can take up to 24hours to dry before plastering.

or use SBR which is a stronger solution to PVA without the grit, Yes it would take 24 hours to go off properly
