Moving internal walls - what trade to search for?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.30 PM
Hi, Might seem like a daft question but i'm looking to have a few stud walls removed and a few new ones built but i wasn't 100% sure what type of tradesman would generally do this? Or would it have to be multi-trade as there is joinery, possibly a bit of electrical (light switches, sockets etc.), plastering etc.. Any advice on what i should be looking for would be appreciated!
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

A good carpenter/builder should be able to do the entire job on one price and manage the project for you.

Carpenter is your best bet. However Plasterer's or general builders should all be able to carry out the work,
Hope this helps

Any good multi skilled plasterer should be able to build a stud wall for you as it's basically a head and sole plate and noggings then run cables and board then skim

Joiner/general builder should be about to carry out this job no bother at all. Then electrician to move or put in new sockets/switches then plasterer to plaster all walls followed by painter/decorator
