Bathroom Fitting

Installing shower tray in an existing wetroom

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.11 PM

Hi there, I have a small wet room (tiled floor) which would be more practical to use if it had an enclosed shower cubicle. I assume I could fit a shower tray with adjustable legs to account for the gradient but I am not sure if it is possible to connect the shower trap to the existing wet room waste trap. Is there an adaptor for this purpose? Thanks

Hi, It depends on how the wetroom is constructed and it it is sound. if the current wetroom is not leaking, and you are happy with the install, then there should be no reason why you could not install a shower cubicle directly on to the floor. If the wetroom has failed, it should be relatively straight forward to connect the waste from the new tray directly to the existing pipe under the floor. thanks ben
