Shower in main bathroom is only luke warm?

I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what could be wrong with my shower. All other taps in the house, including bath and sink tap get really hot but the shower is only luke warm. When we turn the bath two to cold the shower will then be hot while the cold tap is running. Does any one know if this is a fault with the shower? As I don't think it's the boiler

faulty shower themostat all other taps hot can only mean the shower hope that helps

When you turn cold water in the tub you get hot water in the shower mean cold water pressure is on the high side in the shower hence it becomes Luke warm that is why it gets hot when you keep running cold water in the tub. You could rectify this by balancing the pressure in the cartridge if it allows.
I would not recommend you to change the thermostatic cartridge straight away. May be descaling and cleaning the cartridge is a good start. Thanks

what sort of hot water system do you have ? combi boiler or hot water cylinder supplied by tank ?,it sounds like hot is of low pressure system and cold is of main,you need to equal pressures up.
