New garage roof. Gaps in the timber joints
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.51 PM
I have had a new garage roof put on and there is gaps where the rafters / joists butt up to the ridge beam. Surely these gaps shouldn't be there? surely the rafters should be cut to fit flush against the ridge beam? only part of the rafters are touching the ridge beam and they are screwed in. The cuts aren't straight and you can see day light through the gaps. Should these fit together nicely? no gaps? cheers
