Hi Part of my dwelling is in the roofspece of a building about 40yrs old. I noticed that there was large uneven amounts dusty gypsum covering the rafter feet/rafter ends/tips (sorry don't know the right word), which is behind the fascia board. This gpysum is along the whole of the roof in my home. What purpose does this gypsum serve please?
