What's the best plaster bonding agent for matte painted walls?
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.51 PM
Am looking at Febond blue-grit (£15/10L) and Thistle bond-it (£50/10L) Is there anything I should be aware of that justifies such a price difference? The walls surfaces are a mixture of matte paint, 1930's lime plaster, bare brick and sand and cement, in some cases all the above on the same wall. Also, would I need to pva after gritting and is it best to apply plaster after grit coat has fully dried out?

Blue grit does exactly the same as thistle bond it , for a fraction of the price , apply the blue grit a day in advance so it is totally dry for Plastering onto the painted surface , no pva is required as this seals the area and rot applys a good key for plasterwork 👍
