Remove tiles , make wall good and level, measure up , order the glass making sure you mention what it is for as it has to be hardened and heat resistant to certain standard.... Also take the recommendation as to how to fit it , either on a frame or glued , if insulation is needed , etc , the supplier will be able to tell you .... And done !

hi, the old tiles would need removing first, and this may damage the wall behind. If you have wall units up i assume you will want to go to the underneath of these hence the 60cm. Glass look good but are expansive, although you could fit glass splash back behind the hob. If this is an option please check with the manufacturer that you have enough distance from the back of the hob to the wall ! Reason being once you have pans heating up on the hob they can transfer heat to the glass and crack it. For me retiling looks the best especially metro tile in a brick effect. This can be bought in various sizes and colours.(try topps tiles) If you want to fit wall boards there are lots of options here as well but really depends on the kitchen layout and window placement.
