Toilet and basin choices

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.51 PM

I would like to change my toilet, bath taps-adding a shower attachment and bathroom basin (and radiator) what choices do i have to buy items myself (current items are local authourity issued, their basic range) and then just pay for fitting and labour.... how much am I looking at... are their any restrictions? For instance my basin waste unit is awful even more so when compared to the lovely chrome items available...there are lots more pipes coming out of the wall including the waste pip...in total there are three..ugly and exposed pipes...

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Victoria Plum online and any good fitter will have a trade account with them. Next day delivery. Then it's just a case of labour.

A good plumber bathroom fitter will work with the current pipe configuration. Most basins etc are standard heights etc in regards to waste and feed conections. It's the plumbers job to do any adjustments to make it all work. The best thing to do is find a plumber and get them to visit, explain exactly what you want and they should be able to give you advice in what to buy etc

Most basins have the same height waist pipe but water feed is sometimes different depending on the basin
