Painting floor tiles

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.35 PM

Any recommendations I've a small and random shaped kitchen which has light green tiles and need an overhaul. Any experience of if it's a good or horrendous idea to do and also what brand would you recommend a few seem to offer a option! Thanks in advance !

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

In my opinion its a waste of time and money. It will always wear off and to be honest does'nt look great. Just retile the floor, thats what tiles are for.

There are plenty of floor paints out there that will last as they are designed to be walked on but only when painted onto a sound surface. There's no guarantee paint will adhere properly to the tiles as tiles are not designed to be painted. On the whole I would have to agree with 'just roll with it's answer here. It will more than likely look awful and if it was my job I would really try to convince you to look at other options instead.
