The mechanism seems to have gone in the UPVC back door, how can I open it without breaking the door preferably

Hi, go to hinge side of door remove plastic caps , use a allen key and undo the door will come of hinge side first best luck col.

try sum how if you can to leaver the door up because some times it will lift of the runners

on most new doors the gear box will have to spindle holes if so remove handle and put spindle in unused square [spindle hole]this should open the door
