Drainage smells in downstairs kitchen, utility room and loo.
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.10 PM
We had an extension built with kitchen, utility room and loo. We were getting loads of flies and were told they were "foul flies" and were advised to have the drains jetted which we did, with a camera. Also told to properly seal around the loo/basin pipes (which hadn't been done). Since then there has been an overpowering smell. There is a void under the house and the floor of this extension is about 1 foot above the actual ground level. The smell is getting worse. Any suggestions?

what did the camera show ?,you need a proper plumbing and drainage survey carried out, when you flush toilet does it maintain water trap ?,same goes for basin, get a proper plumber to look at it,phone ciphe to get a list of registered plumbers in your area.
