What tile adhesive to use for Porcelain tiles over uneven quarry tiled floor

I have a floor with quarry tiles on it. I am trying to tile over them with 600mmX600mm porcelain tiles. Can you please recommend a tile adhesive?
The floor is quite uneven. I have measured and see about a 2cm difference between the highest and lowest point on the floor. I bought a tile adhesive (Unibond Ultra flex powder), but it states that I can only apply at a max of 6mm.
I also looked into floor levelling compound, but wasn't sure if I can apply this over quarry tiles as most of the specs list that I have to do it on top of concrete or wood.
Also what size notched trowel should I be using?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
Hello veeranki, I think you should use a floor levelling compound and before that, you could prime the quarry tiles with a SBR primer or even the same tile adhesive you have already, then apply the levelling compound and you will have it ready to lay tiles on. Make sure that the tile adhesive is suitable for porcelain tiles and flexible.
Cheers.
PTB fibre plus made by bal and sold in topps tiles is a very good adhesive to use.
It can act as a floor levelling compound also and can be bedded up to 25mm.
I would suggest using a 10mm notched trowel or bigger.

Hi sounds like you need to prime your surface area with sbr primer. Then use a good quality levelling compound.
Make sure you mix up with a mechanical mixer following the instructions on the bag I.e powder to water ratio then trowelling it out smoothly followed by spike rollers this ensures no air is trapped causing hollow spots. Then use a thick bed adhesive to lay your tiles using 12/13 mm trowel followed by a 4 mm back butter on the tile. Keep your spirit level and check each tile as you work.

Self level the floor first, prime and get a good S1 flexible adhesive
