Neighbour has extended our fence

We recently replaced an old fence with a smart New one in the same place as the old one making sure it stayed within our boundary, we advised the neighbours before the work was done. Today we returned from a week away to find said neighbour has built on the fence at the end of ours so it now separates our 2 driveways, his fence is rough wood and looks awful, we are also an open plan estate so are not supposed to have fence going to the end of the driveway. What should we do first ?

Find where it states that the fence he has done should not be there and point it out to him. If it turns out that it can be there then you can always offer to replace his bit with the same as what you have so that it looks as good. Make it sound like you are doing him a favour pointing out that you don't want him getting into trouble...
