Damp Proofing

New Plaster not drying and white crystals seen on it.

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.29 PM

Hi there. I am in the middle of kitchen renovations. The house is about 35 yrs old. The old kitchen was extended about 20 years ago. We have plastered the walls. In the corner of the old part of the kitchen the plaster has not dried and the patch seems to be extending upwards . It's has what looks like salt on the walls. Is this rising damp ?

Hi there! It is still wet, it takes a few days to dry completely (sometime a week) after you can paint the kitchen
