Brick sealant? - Stop bricks absorbing water and let them breathe

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.35 PM

Hi, I've heard of a spray/roll on cream for the exterior house walls to let the bricks breathe and also stop them from absorbing water. Could someone give me any more details about what this is/where I can buy it? Many thanks.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Storm dry it's BBA approved. It's applied by brush ,roller or spray and dries to leave colorless breathable barrier. It is available on line. Hope this helps. Regards, Nathan.

You know bricks are supposed to breathe? There are loads of exterior brick damp repellents on the market. I would very rarely bother with any of them, if the pointing is shot they don't make a blind bit of difference.
