Bathroom basin - water drains much slower after bathroom refurb

After a bathroom refurb, I had one of those new pop-up/push down plug in the basin installed (with new basin and cabinet unit) and now the water drains SOOOOOII slowly and it's doing my head in. Why is this happening as it was ok before?

Hello, waste pipe was installed in a wrong diameter or angle.

There could be bits of debris in waste pipe work from when old was ripped out.
