Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.50 PM

Can you put a floor edge on a floor where the wall is curved?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hello there. If you talking about beading to be placed against curved wall than as long as you can bend it enough whidout breaking it then yes. The best way to cover curved wall is to add skirting onto the curve. but thats require trader with profesional mitre saw. Chop saw will not do the job. Eaven cuts not far from each others aleving only 3mm of the front face. Attac hskirting, fill up the cuts with wood filler, sand it down in places, give it a coat of paint. Regards Michal mDucanon

depend of the edge? if the edge is hard material you need to cut small pieces with different angle to be able to connect them without gaps in between. if it is any soft material cut the back of the edge gently and try to do the curves:)

I have installed Scotia Beas around the bottom step on a job and made a steam tube out of soil pipe to steam bend it. However I think it's easier to either to make cuts in the back or front of the bead (dependant on onward or outward curve) with a mitre saw to allow for flexing and fill and sand before painting. Or cut manageable lengths and fix as you go also fill and sand before paint.
