crazy paving pionting has ended up really white

I added a new section to my existing crazy paving and the pointing has dried really white compared to the old bit. I used a 4 c/sand to 1 cement mix and I'm wondering if it might be too strong a mix. My other concern is that the cement was old may have been blown. Will this eventually tone back down to more natural grey or will it need repointed ?

Hi it sounds like Efflorescence , this is natural you can either wait and let the weather take its course or clean it with a citric acid based cleaner this will speed up the process of weathering it .
