Odd sized doors
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.09 PM
We have just moved into a property and want to replace the upstairs doors. Downstairs doors are a standard size however upstairs 1920x710 We have replaced downstairs with oak veneer doors and would like to do the same upstairs. Is this possible with an "off the shelf" door or will we need them made?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi ubyiuz, Internal oak doors are available in sizes 1981mm x 710 mm ( 78'' x 28''). You could reduce the doors height by trimming the bottom and/or the the top rails down to your 1920 mm. I've never been asked to fit this size in oak before but have regularly fitted the white panel doors in this size.
Try doing a search online but use the 28'' x 78'' rather than the metric equivalent, it often gives more results. Hope this is of some use to you, regards, Mike
