Neighbour not happy with building a porch

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.09 PM

I live in a terrace house and my neighbour whos door is next to mine has a pcv porch 2 windows on each side and a door/window on the front. I want to build a stone porch as i love the styling i have seen but he keeps moaning about if i build a wall on the inside wall he will knock it down and saying i camt block his window. Sureley if its on my land and not needing planning permission i can do what i want? Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm not an expert in the building trade as far as porches go but if he has a porch, he does not automatically get writes to have a window facing your property and there for as long as you don't breach any planning laws you can build a wall . If he was to the remove it or knock it I belive he is then comiting criminal damage.
