partion wall insulation
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.09 PM
what insulation product can I use to replace a wool based insulation in a wooden stud wall that does not contain any wool and will act as a good sound proofing.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I believe the best soundproof you achieve using Rockwool acoustic/sound slabs. What I always do is to fit a plasterbaord on one side of stud wall then to fit Rockwool slab then 12 mm plywood and plasterbord on top of plywood.
This is a standard partition wall. If you would like to have a better sound proof results you can use sound proof plasterboards - those blue ones.
Hope this will help.
