Can our washing machine be located in an outhouse?

We would like to put our washing machine in an outhouse as there is no space in the kitchen, the pluming and electricity is in place but there is no heating in the outhouse (brick construction with flag stone floor). Is cold weather likely to affect the machine and will it need to be raised of the ground? There seems to be a lot of differing opinions and would like to hear advice from an actual plumber. Thank you!

The risk of frost damage will increase to both machine and associated pipework. No need to raise it off the floor unless you have a practical reason to that you have not mentioned!
Recommend the following:
1. Insulate all cold water pipework
2. Install the following low running cost heater. See link below as an example:

Has its own thermostat, select the correct size best suited to the room in question.
