You can use a gutter union bracket. If it is two different depths of gutter there are some unions on the market that go from one size to another. It can become more difficult if its 2 different types of guttering all together.

They are different kinds of guttering brackets you can use just check the shape of your gutters or go to b and Q and get a lend of guttering and get a bracket and C will it fit if it fits the one you have at home that's it that's all you need then you know the right one to take home with you

Assuming that the gutters are pvc and the same profile, a union bracket would be used to join them, the union bracket must always be screwed to the fascia board to prevent thermal movement causing it to displace allowing rainwater to escape.
With cast iron gutters, plain end fits into the fawcet end with a linseed oil gasket and a roofing bolt used to tighten them together ( be careful not to overtighten the bolt ).
Aluminium, similar to cast iron but there are specialist sealants to use, rather than putty ( Sika for example ).
