Bricklaying & Repointing

Just knocked down wall between bathroom and toilet.

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.34 PM

Now have 2 windows with breezeblock column between. How do I sort this out / make good? Block out and brick up old smaller window or put in new window to cover the whole width (would be a big one)?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

The cheaper option is to Brick/Block up one of the windows. Alternatively having one window would allow more light and aesthetically look better , this would entail installing a larger lintol to support the Brick/Blockwork above and would cost considerably more than the first option. Hope this helps Kind Regards Mark

your best bet block up smaller window as each window will have a lintel above it ,to put in a bigger window you will need to support wall while you put in a bigger lintel to span new window.
