Fused spur kitchen appliances

Hi I have a single fuse spur above bench feeding washing machine. This spur will not switch off will this be using a lot of electric thanks

It will not use a lot of electrics if this is your concern. But is designed to switch off in case you need to turn off the WM and the BS7671 says you must be able to assist a Washing machine without touching it and with the power off; this is why is fed by a 13A spur.... whilst functionall Dude

Hi Do you mean that it is a unswitched fused connection? It will not be using any electric as it's pupose is for safety and maintenance purposes only. I would recommend getting it changed to a switched fuse spur just for future convenience.
