First floor toilet, bowl drains slowly

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.49 PM

Hi all, I have a toilet which is in the first floor bathroom, of a 2 storey house. Ever since I bought the place, 3 years ago, the bowl has drained away slowly. Recently I had a Homeserver plumber out, who cleared a more recent blockage, as bowl was not draining. The update I got from the call centre was that toilet was incorrectly fitted. I have no further details than that. Best way to describe the layout, is that the down soil pipe is next to the toilet bowl area. The 90 degree pan connector from the rear, goes horizontally to the left, into a 90 degree elbow type connector, which is horizontal, that then goes forwards into a 90 degree elbow type connector that flows down into the soil stack. Hope that makes sense. Any ideas? Regards Thank you D&R Property & Plumbing for your time and helpful answer. Not sure about the venturi system. However, the 90 degree straight pan connector from the toilet outlet goes into a push fit type fitting, which then itself goes into a pushfit type fitting which goes down into a black soil pipe, which protrudes from the floor by about a couple of inches.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

are these connectors all push fit or proper soil fittings ?,if so they will narrow the outlet to soil stack,if so you should remove and fit proper soil fittings. also how old is the pan and cistern you may have a syphonic cistern and pan which has a venturi device in it between cistern and pan,if the rubber seal on venturi is defective it will always drain slowly .if you look behind pan and the actual pan looks like it has a double trap on it it will be syphonic.
