Lean to polycarbonate roof with wood structure build over garden decking.

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.49 PM

We already have permanent extended kitchen with measurements 6.075 metres wide, 3.65 metres deep and height of 2.763 metres. I am building a temporary polycarbonate roof over decking using four wood pillars, decking is 3mx3m and height will be 2.5m. Am I doing something illegal or do I need planning permission for this temporary structure? Builder is confident that this is legal and doesn't require planning permission. Can anyone shed some light please? Thanks for you reply mate, apparently planning permission office said that I do need planning permission for this work

As long as its not boxed in with windows or walls and its just a roof with pillars, then your builder is correct
