Expanding foam instead of dot and dab adhesive
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.34 PM
The plasterer I have hired to plaster my whole house has said he will be using expanding foam instead of board adhesive is this common practice or should I be worried. The property is 18:50 Cottage I have taken it back to bare brick what would be the best way to plaster it?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi,
You shouldn't be worried at all it is a great and easy way of doing it and it shows that your plasterer is adapting the innovations in the industry, I would stick to that one, if you have any reservations, I am attaching this video below for you to have a look.

Hi,
If its expanding foam then its certainly the wrong product.
They do a foam called dry wall foam fix that is used instead of board adhesive. Just it doesnt expand.
Check the cans - see what one it is.
