plumbing ready for dishwasher

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.27 PM

I am looking to get a dishwasher installed in one of the undersink cupboards. There will be enough space for a slimline dishwasher. I believe i need another water isolation connection (i genuinely don't know what it is called) to connect the dishwasher to the water mains. I also need another space on the waste pipe. Could you, if possible, give me an estimate to the time involved. or even the actual details that you believe i need to be done, as i don't know what the parts need doing are actually called. It is a brand new build apartment.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi Chris, Firstly just so you know the size of the slimline dishwasher is 450 mm. Full-size 600mm. The parts you asked for clarification. For the waste you will need a appliance trap adapter. Price around £3-5. A washing machine isolation tap. Price £3-5. Both parts can be purchased at any good plumbers shop or even B & Q. It is a relatively simple task and would take about an hour. Hope that helps answer your question. Regards Gary
